Bake With Yen Puchong

Today I had an unpleasant encounter at this branch.

As I was paying for my items; while removing a packet of flour for the cashier to scan, the flour has a tear at back of the packet n some of flour poured out onto the counter n some in my recycle bag. The cashier allowed me to chg to a new packet. So I went to exchange to a new packet.

However upon returning to the counter another staff came with the ‘damaged’ packet of flour and accused me of mishandling & causing the packet to tear. I was shocked and told her I don’t know how it tore.
She walked off and obviously was not happy.

The reason for this review:
1) For a long period of time I hv been patronising this branch but today to be ACCUSED blindly is totally uncalled for.

2) You DO NOT just simply accuse your customers on the spot without even knowing what had happened at the first place. We really would not know the condition of the flour as I DID NOT have any sharp items or items that would caused the tear. And after observing the quality of flour packet, I do not think it could tore that easily.

3) Furthermore I DID NOT do anything to the packet flour unintentionally from the time I added it into my recycle bag until I reached the cashier counter to pay.

4) I did offer to pay for the ‘damaged’ item (after the staff left) but seriously the staff who came up to me at the counter shld hv spoken in a more professional way.

Bake with Yen, we as customers at your baking business, we do not wish to be in a situation like this & if I did really caused any damages to your items I would definitely pay for it.

So this is VERY DISAPPOINTING coming from an established business

I had been purchasing baking ingredients from BWY for 20 years, especially butter. This morning, I had to throw away 1 block of unsalted butter as it was moldy though thr expiry date is still a few months away. I sent the photos and messages to their business contact via WhatsApp. To my surprise, there was no response.

Editing previous review from 5 stars to 1 star. Staff is extremely rude! They made a mistake in putting the wrong products on the wrong shelf. By the time we realised after paying, they refused to exchange and the 2 ladies in the store started saying its our fault and scolded us back! We asked politely, and these people have NO MANNERS at all. She said "use your own eyes to see" in Mandarin but it's your staff's fault in the first place.

Really crowded by noon and parking is difficult. I just don't see the logic and need to come here to buy bakery stuffs and end up suffering unnecessarily.

Use to have a more friendly group of staff. Now not anymore.should really focus on ur customer service. Getting from bad to worse.

Fast delivery, but didn't check properly before send out the item, my order packing was broken. Call to Puchong outlet but nobody answer the phone. Disappointed with the service.

Closing time shown 9pm but arrived there around 7.59pm they not allowed me to go in.please educate ur staff to talk nicely, we r coming all the way from cyber to buy an urgent stuff not window shopping.bad experienced

In my previous visit, I accidentally took a cupcake box for 25 cupcakes. Went to the cashier only to realised that I have took the wrong one. I then asked the cashier; a thin and tall Chinese lady whether do they have a box for 20s and her response was, go and find it by yourself! How rude was that! Today I went over again to get some baking essentials and the same bad experience I get! Asked where is the piping bag, only to be told, "I think is there" She was so lazy that she does not even have the initiative to assist me to find it!

That's it! I will never buy again from this outlet as they have RUDE and LAZY staffs!

I know wearing a face mask during pandemic is preferable. Ive told the guy standby at the door before enter that im u sing my scarf to cover but he refuse to let me in without a proper surgical mask. I went to other shop nearby, they have no issue letting me in with my scarf covering my face. As long as it is covered. What is that a big deal?

If I have a choice I will not give any star! Came all the way here to purchase some baking essentials and the staffs are just pissing me off.told the staff at the entrance I don't need their hand sanitizer cause I have my own. He was utterly rude and forceful! I don't think it's right to scold your customer for not using their hand sanitizer when we have our own. Even the staff inside the shop were not helpful at all.need to find all things on our own. Not going back there!

The materials here are complete, but the foreign worker Anis can't speak Malay. I told him that I already know the size of the cans I want, and I need to check whether the cans in the big bag are damaged, because what I want to buy is 40 Yes, Anis asked me to check the jars on the shelf. I told him two or three times but still didn’t understand.

Lots of people lining up to 4 lots of shops during this festive season. Can try going to Jadi Baking Shop at Bandar Puteri Puchong which is only 5 minutes away from this shop. Obviously less than 10 people lining up.

This out let still ok.only they does not wants to pick up càll. By the way Shah Alam area is a good plàce to shop.parking good. But always no stock such as butter.choc chips ect.we cànt wait.for your stock to come in about 1 week or more sometimes. I think you should get a good retail manager to control. When asking the staff there.answer. Dont know.

Low price and wide range of products, can find everything here. But just dont expect anything good/friendly from staff

Quite standard fare over all their branches. Overall all baking needs covered. However on price point for certain items for 'expert buyers' they fail as some inconsistencies in getting the very same items one is sure of.
Assuming stocking of those consistently is challenging. Examples to provide now too expansive.
But if you want to ensure you can get all the types of flour you want this is the place to go.

Attention to all self made Bakers, this shop sells all sorts of baking products under one roof. But do yr homework before making any purchases, some goods may be expensive ie diary's products. Happy shopping

Great for those chef that bake. Has most of all things you need to bake but not all. Price are reasonable if you buy for baking and it comes in bulk.

Pretty good. You can find most of the things in one store. But service here needs a big change. Staffs need to be trained:)

Kedai yang luas dan besar. Baking mould saiz 6 inci susah nak jumpa, ada dijual di sini. Debit card accepted. HQ kepada cawangan bake with yen yang lain. Susah parking.
