The best of diversity, different cultures, close to big department stores, good atmosphere.
Stall 74 Stir Fried food is so Yummy. Especially NO. 6 Fried Dry Hor Fun, exactly like Char Koay Teow just they don’t have ‘Kerang’ but is ok cause I don’t eat that but they come with meat (chicken or pork), shrimp, fish cake & veggie and only RM8, Oyster noodles RM10, Char Hor Fun RM8
I will try Fried Rice and Tomyam fried noodles too I heard from others table is so yummy
Sorry to said that a bit slow but worth to wait.
Great atmosphere like before with the open air concept of hawker stalls and many options to choose but the quality of food is has gone downhill! You can get better food at the street food in the malls and other hawker stalls in town. Such a letdown.
Overrated and expensive hawker centre. Very touristy.avoid. There are better places in Penang.
Lots of food. Most of the shops are closed on Tuesday. Used to be next to Gurney beach, which is under construction.: (

Pusat kuliner (jajanan pasar di Penang). Segala macam aya.
The singing Pasembur Owner, at Gueney Hawkers Food Court, has a staff member, slim about 5'6, occasionally uses a Kopiah, who charged me RM180.00 for a pasembur containing one crab, two prawns and one prawn fritters. When challenged, the manager said he'll give a discount with the next purchase but no refund. A taxi driver said it is a common occurrence with that pasembur stall. Further, the workers pretend to be Muslims when they are not.
Setiap malam bagaikan malam minggu. Sentiasa sesak dgn umat manusia berjalan bangsa. Makanan yg paling digemari dan disukai rmai iaitu pasemboq. Ter bak hang.
Dine in with family.
Pasembur. Dessert n Laksaaa.
Food n price are average range.
Tourist place to visit.
Street food hawkers center.
Nearby Gurney Plaza.
Many kinds of local street food with affordable price and delicious taste.
Good place gathering with family and friends.
Some food stalls are very crowded and need more time to order.
Tempatnya sekarang tidak terlalu bersih dan mutu makanannya rata rata saja. Lokasi mendukung karena tepi pantai dan sebelah Mall Gurney.
Top Stop for Penang's Food
Fried Oyster, Chee Cheong Fun, Char Keow Tiew and Pork Satay are a must if you are in Penang.
Long queue of people testify to the taste of Fried Oyster, Char Keow Tiew and Pork Satay. There are many stalls selling Char Keow Tiew or Fried Oyster. Easy to find the best Char Keow Tiew or Fried Oyster stall, look for a long queue.
Be patient to find a table, some of these tables are for specific stalls.
The fried oyster, char keow tiew and pork satay are one of the best in penang.
This is the real centre for Penang hawker food. We are for 4-nights straight, never the same outlet, all cheap and good.
The largest hawker centre for food. Value for money not as good though with tiny portions, and the laksa not the best. For better food, I recommend the smaller but much tastier Hong Kong Tea Garden hawker centre.
Beware of table politics. Drinks stalls are very territorial. Be careful of where you seat and where you order your drinks from to avoid any aggro. Quality of food is not what I remember it to be and in my opinion does not make up for the table politics. Definitely wont be in a rush to return.
For tourists.
The worst thing I've ever tasted is the Rojak.
Cold fired stuff, not crisply but muddy.
I wish there's a zero start for me to post this.
Not what it used to be.still a good foodie Street to just stop and nibble but better food and atmosphere elsewhere.
So many choice of local food at affordable price, i like it all assam laksa, ais kacang, sotong bakar, nasi lemak, es sekotheng.
