Sri Kandaswamy Kovil kalamandapam reviews
23Such an amazing place for worship of lord Sri kandhasamy with cleanly maintained atmosphere.
A Sri Lankan Tamil temple, everyone is welcome to enter (remove your shoes, dress appropriately). Inside is pretty spacious with plenty of columns, where the statues of deity are covered (you should not photograph the deities). Everyone just sit down to wait for prayer time, then they will play the music instruments, rang the bell and the priest well guide the prayers to all the deities. Everyone is welcomed to join this prayer.
Clean and peaceful. Ample parking space. In the same street, there are two more temples: 1. Sri Krishna Temple
2. Sree Veera Hanuman Temple.
Colorful Hindu temple. Remember to remove your shoes before entering. Ticket counter was closed when I was there, so I didn't have to pay.
One of the most beautiful temples in brickfields, well maintained. A great place to visit and take photos after a meal in brickfields. The main tower or gopuram has very beautiful intricate carvings.
My favourite temple. Truly Nothing compares to the beauty and spiritual feeling one gets in this blessed sacred place.
I am always generous about any religion. And I am a pandit, I do all Hindu religion work and also do remedies by looking at astrology. I want to work in the temple for the post of Pandit priest. Please serve me. Provide opportunity. +918882310023 jaye radhe Krishna
One of the majestic and old Hindu Temples in Brickfields. Located at the edge of Scott Road, next to the Klang River, the temple has a beautiful architecture and very colourful structures. The main idol is Lord Murugan. The temple is also a cultural centre with a nice function hall called Kalamandapam within the compound. It's a tourist attraction too.
The temple management has its own set of rules other than SOP. Temple is meant for peace and not to irritate devotees. There no such hard rules that we cannot phone talk inside the temple. I was actually doing zoom prayers since every one heard the bell they wanted to see the diety and this was treated badly by the mangament.
I was so happy reciting shasti kavasam in the temple but the guy who didnt wear his mask properly behaved rudely saying not to talk.
I would like to stress that most of the workers inside the temple don't wear mask properly including the musicians. Please do take care of that first.
Just wild to see this from the street. The ornate detail, the bright colors were remarkable. A theme park feel. It was closed yet lots of friendly chickens strolling nearby.
A very beautiful, cooling surroundings Lord Murugan temple. Was called to help in service (sevvai) for Muruga Perumaan. Vetri Vel Murugannuku Arogara
Lord Murugan is the main god here. Do check the Facebook posts for events and updates.
The priests are friendly and helpful.
I had already visited the Sri Maha Mariamman Temple and enjoyed the pooja there, so I decided to visit this Hindu temple while I was visiting Brickfields and Little India. Sadly, many of the roofs including the gopuram have been covered as part of the renovations. Inside, it smelt like there had been some repainting going on, though incomplete. The interior of temple is typical South Indian Dravidian style. That is to say, colourful, lots of columns for the ambulatory around the sanctum sanctorum. The columns are particularly interesting as most of them were designed to look like columns supporting columns. I think it was a quiet night for them temple because I waited for 30 minutes for the scheduled pooja to start, but nothing happened as there were no worshippers. As things stand, the temple is less interesting to visit because of the repainting works, but that probably makes no difference for a devotee. The covered roofs do make me appreciate my previous visit back in 2015 when I got to see the gopuram in its full glory.
Nice temple, one might find some traditional activities always happening here.specially on weekends or on any occasions. We are fond of temples, so one can find 2-3 temples in this lane itself. To find this location, instead of walking right from KL sentral, it's better to take a monorail from KL sentral to Tun Sambanthan and from here it's just 3-4 minutes by walk.
Very Serene Ambience. Our elders used to say that if you go to a temple then you should sit there in silence for 15-20 minutes.
Powerful temple in the heart of KL, one of the oldest in Malaysia dedicated to Lord Murugan - a must visit if you are in town.
Nice temple!
It is one of the most prominent Sri Lankan Tamil or Ceylonese Tamil temples in Malaysia. It is huge and showcases rich Sri Lankan Tamil architecture and has become a popular tourist attraction in Kuala Lumpur. The temple architecture is inspired by the Nallur Kandaswamy temple in Jaffna, Sri Lanka. It is reputed to be one of the most orthodox temples in Malaysia where rituals are followed strictly in accordance the rules of Saiva Agama Scriptures.
A very neatly maintained temple of Lord Murugan. Daily poojas and all kind of hindu auspicious days are observed. Clean and nice place. It also has a kalamandapam (community hall) attached to the premises where a lot of cultural activities take place.
One of the most well maintained temple that i know. I go there almost every month and whole range of rituals are done in such a meticulous and diligent manner
I attended a wedding at the temple hall. It is a lovely hall with dinner to be served at the ground floor. But the hall can only hold a small crowd. Unfortunately big weddings are being held at this hall making it congested.
