Quill Orthopaedic Specialist Centre Sdn Bhd reviews
47Expensive, first of all, do we have insurance? I don’t know if there is insurance, but the knife will be sharpened very hard! Stick 2 pieces of tape for rm150!
Experience bringing wife a for some operation. Especially on orthopaedic cases. Being twice here. Very responsive and good experience doctors around.
Lousy service ever!
My schedule was fixed at 3.00 pm nut due to a last minute notice, it has been arranged to 2.00 pm. Totally interrupted my plan as I have prior arrangements.
Then today, received another call from the center without checking the status of my so-called-appointment.
Not professional, not recommended to go AT ALL!
Best Orthopaedic hospital.parking very limited on weekend.
Best customer service on nurse & doctor.
Private Orthopaedic Hospital.
I had my left tkr at Quill orthopedic medical center in March 2023 by Prof Choon. Thank you Prof Choon, Prof Lucy, Dr Chan! Thank you to the nurses and helpers for their kind assistance and for making my stay a comfortable one.
Super expensive place. Doc fee 200, but doc to administer a steroid 315 and excl the medication. Total bill 713 just for a sprain treatment incl x ray. No proper advice on how to improve after like what type exercises need to do. Better go to the proper sports doc at Ara Damansara.
We had a very pleasant experience at your centre. Great staffs polite and very professional
Dr. William was most courteous and approachable medical practitioner and specialist. Very comfortable with him.
Took my parents for consultation with Dr Putra. The Dr checked and explained in details and I would highly recommend the Dr to anyone who's looking for an Orthopedic Specialist.
Went for a consult on my back with Dr Tai after a recent injury - and for a general checkup. The doctor was patient and very accommodating with his explanations, also didn’t push for any unnecessary scans or treatment— which is sadly very common these days.
Also managed to get a last min appointment, easy parking as well. Thanks guys.
I came with a heavy heart as i fructured my feet. The staffs made me feel like a queen attending to all my discomfort with a smile and kindness. Thank you and a big hug to them.
Met Dr Putra Prabhakar Vatakal, gave me the best advice. He is very detail in his explanation and examination. Not only his medical expertise is A+, his kind, passionate and has a special touch to ease the pain of patients.
Dr Ong is very polite and patient, detailed explanation and really care about his patients. The staffs there also kind and polite! Thumbs up
The doctor that saw me is a specialist under 7 years. He really seems inexperienced. During the consultation, he said if I want to do MRI, it will be expensive without me mentioning my worries for money. He said that xray cannot show anything. I said if it is important to do both, I don't mind.
Before leaving to arrange mri appointments, he asked me to do xray too, just to check in case.
I changed my mind before making any arrangements, wanted to seek second opinion. He then charged me RM200 for just the 5 mins consultation.
This is a ridiculous price. I went and check other specialist prices, the advice they gave is so much better. One of them found out I don't need mri or xray, only need physio by just checking on how I bend my knee. My leg is better now. Quill gave me two horrible experiences, one during consultation and one before consultation - appointment making process are kinda pushy.
Mum went in hobbling
Doctor was then talking
Afterwards she was rocking
I guess legs WERE made for walking
Thanks for giving her a better quality of life!
Came her today for my wife shoulder pain. Met Doctor Putra Prabhakar, he is really good and the way he explain in very detailed. Well mannered and a good listener too, i will definitely would recommend this place and Dr. Putra.
Low service & Bad management. I did locum at this place and they didn't pay my money.keep asking and got the same answer payment pending from HQ
1) All visitors are required to do rtk covid test to visit patients. But all three staff at ground floor are not sure what type of rtk test is to be done.
2) My mother was staying at your hospital for one week after knee surgery. She was in her room doing nothing. No one offered to help her to turn on the TV.
3) I caught your nurses at level 2 chatting with mask under their chin. Is this the SOP when no visitors or patients are around?
Poor management and unfriendly, unhelpful, and poorly trained nurses and staff.
Highly recommend. Admitted my grandmother on Thursday, surgery was performed on Saturday. She is 83 year old but her recovery was good. Both surgeon and physiotherapist did great job. Nurse and other assistant were helpful and patient. Only downside is parking.
I am sharing our experience with QOSC both for my friend John Tan and myself.
1. John is a young man and avid gym goer but with the MCO there is no exercise in gym. So he went to QOSC Guguanjie physio for easing his back n shoulder pain. John found the sessions very useful and beneficial. Staff Michelle is friendly n knowledgeable.
2. I am 60 yr old diabetic and overweight. When I contacted Dr Virginia, we had a very informative session about the new thinking of diabetes reversal.
On July 20th I started low carb no sugar diet with intermittent fasting. I established my baseline by not taking any medicine (I was on maximum diabetes medication). Within 2 weeks it shows my insulin resistance is still high, Dr V and I agreed we wl take one pill to help my sugar excretion. Today is 7 weeks into my journey, I have lost 3 kg, my fasting sugar is lower at 7-8, my 2hr after meal is 8-9. Dr V had monitored my progress, shared diet and baking recipe.etc we are in constant communicating.
I would like to thank QOSC for having this wellness service through Dr V. Her patient care and knowledge is just very much above average. We even touched on Dawn Phenomenon and Somogyi effect.which explains the surge.
I shall report back in 6 months time.let everyone know my progress to try and reverse diabetes.
My mom came here. Knees replacement on both legs at the same time.
Weeks later, distortion happened on 1 knee - odd angle of lower leg starting from knee downwards. The doctor detected it in one of the follow up visit and requested for another x-ray. Upon examination, the doctor suggested another surgery should take place. He is of the view the bone supporting the knee cap may be crumbling and hence, the lower legs are distorted. Replacement surgery was recommended to put in another type of knee cap - a longer stem type vs.the short stem variant that was recently put in during the surgery.
My mom is in her 70s. No bone density check was done to ensure bone crumble issue would not be a risk factor. And if there were longer stem knee caps available in lieu of what's put in my mom, it was never offered to my mom in the 1st place. Pain and discomfort is there for knee replacement surgery - and my mom had a hard time coping with it - it depressed her terribly. When the doctor suggested a new surgery to take place to correct the above situation, my mom asked: "would the pain be as terrible as before? " The doctor answered as such: "well, you would have gotten used to it".
Shame on the doctor who did this to my mom. Hope early retirement is under his consideration in order to spare people similar agonies.
Please need help, i have a friend that cut her 1 finger when she was young, now she wanted a finger surgeon doctor to help her finger back to normal. Any doctor that can help please
