The location is perfect for shopping, because it's cool and there are lots of choices for small businesses, but some are expensive and some are cheap, still negotiable, paid toilets, there's a food court too, for those who want to look for milo cubes, there's also one here.

Very touristy souvenir shops with high prices but still some good stuff. The food court upstairs has a good variety and good prices

Lots of tradisional stuff and item, hope the price will not mark up too much for local to come. Malaysian also hope this CM will make improvement in terms of shop and other tradisional entertainment (game of gasing/guli/wau/batu seremban for free)

I sent international postcards and experienced batik, and the children enjoyed it. The food court was not very hygienic, so I thought it would be clean because I had to pay for the bathroom, but it was regrettable that the child said it was messy.

Nice place to buy gift and used items such as clothes & pants. But most special about this place is the tourist and culture around it.

You can find souvenirs here.
Wholesale stores selling sea cucumber soap and sweets, craft shops, boutiques, etc.
It's not limited to this place, but at every store, the staff will talk to you anyway, so you have to have the courage to talk to them.

As a side note, I wonder if the coconut shake shop that was on the street next to Central Market is still open? It's absolutely delicious.
Also, there is a crockery shop at the end of that street, selling cheap and cute tableware in a very messy manner. Even though it's heavy, it's so cute that it's worth taking home as a carry-on.

Here I found flag patches for my backpack. The usual souvenirs like magnets are cheaper here than anywhere else in the city, the sweets are more expensive than in the shops (I paid 5 ringgit for a bag of jackfruit chips at Mr. DIJ, at the market the middlemen ask 12 ringgit).

There are many restaurants at the top.

Lots of shops in a covered air conditioned space. Mostly handiworks and clothes. The place also has a couple of coffee shops on the ground floor and a food court on the second floor. Don't forget to haggle before you buy something!

Nice place to visit, but dont expect too much here if you want to so shopping.
For small souvenir stuff, don't stop at the front stores or at the main walk way, turn left to the China area to find a much reasonable price.

Worth paying a visit. A market that dates back to almost 100 years ago. It gives you a window into the culture, heritage and arts of indigenous Malaysians. Lots of nice souvenirs. And if you are are looking for traditional costumes of Malaysia, this place offers a wide selection for you.

Central Market is an establishment for arts, crafts and other items you would wish to decorate a cosy living room with. There are also shops on the 2nd level that sell nicely embroidered table cloths, rugs and so on. Just outside along the street, you would find a short walking street with tasty street snacks.

When you are there. Don't forget to visit the peranakan restaurant on the 2nd level that boasts exceptional service, above average food and decor thats authentically nyonya.

While you are at KL and you have an evening to spare, going to Central Market might just be the quiet escape from the Bukit Bintang area if you are not one for crowds.

Light Rapid Transit (LRT)
Stasiun Pasar Seni yang dilalui jalur Putra LRT berada di sebelah kanan luar Central Market.

We love visiting Market in every country that we went through. I have to say Central Market in Malaysia is worth the visit. You can choose on they're local items in cheapest price. Even if it's not cheap i might say it's worth your money.

An iconic building and tourists attraction. An colonial day KL Central fresh food Market transformed into a tourist spot for decades ago. The idea place for souvenirs and handicrafts. We brought several foreign guests here to shop hunt for local handicrafts and most of them are happy with their purchases. It's also a place for a good meal and relaxing hightea breaks.

Not a bad selection of items. Not overly touristy as I thought it would be. The market is mainly indoors and partially outside stalls as well. You can get there by train but also easily walkable from subway Masjid Jamek
