Little India reviews
57Go to spot for anything Indian, from food to clothing. Multiple stalls lining the streets and a variety of stores to choose from. Best explored during public holidays or if there's an event since the streets would be bustling with people and activities to do. Otherwise, makes a great night out on the weekend too.
Sri pandi restaurant- at night we visited - if you're a Indian food lover don't miss this area.
Good Indian style, everything from raw stuff, to cooked items available, clothes, jewellery- artificial and real, , for cooking the stuff like utensils, of different types available. NU SENTRAL MALL is there, lots of food, printing shops, book shops, temples schools, hotels to stay, monorail, theaters in mall, mall get everything.
If looking for all kind of Indian traditional items, foods, prayers item & others this will be the best place. Price also reasonable
One stop centre for what we want and need.be it foods, attires, accessories or blessings.the only sour note is the lack of public parking,
Good place to buy prayer items/vegetables and Indian food in general. Parking and traffic can be a nightmare though.
This place has no proper free parking space. There's a lot of paid parking, but they would take advantage of charging really high, which is ridiculous. You could park at the mall (nu sentral), but it's quite far from little India, especially on a hot day. I wouldn't recommend it. You can get a lot of prayer items from this place. Theres a lot of restaurants as well.
Visited Brickfields for 2 reasons:
1) To get my neem hair dye
2) To have a glass of hot "paal" aka cow's milk without sugar!
Malayagam is a double storey shop lot located by the roadside next to the alley that sells flowers opposite a school. If you're driving, I suggest that you park outside the school just for a short period of time. Otherwise take the LRT or Grab.
The cheapest neem hair dye/packet in Malayagam cost RM 3.20 compared to 6 months ago it was RM 2.90! Other sundry shops selling RM 3.50 - RM 3.90/packet. Even a small glass of "paal" now cost RM 4 compared to 6 months ago RM 3.50!
Rows of restaurants and stalls serving Indian food as well as necessities for Indians. I was intrigued by some street stalls selling a wide selection of Indian sweets that looked so appetizing. For those of you who like to try and find something different, you can visit here. You will be thrilled with their colorful sweets.
A must visit place specifically if you are missing your home country India. Here you can find authentic South Indian food, Indian groceries, spices, clothes, Indian jewelry and even music CDs. They even have stalls for Pani Puri and chats. Indian stores at this place sell everything Indian which you might be craving like Haldiram snacks or Everest spices to even Indian medicines like Pudin Hara. My verdict, DON'T MISS THIS WHILE YOU ARE IN MALAYSIA.
The pumping music, the amazing banana leaf lunches, vibrant colours, beautiful clothing and scrumptious desert vendors.honestly what is not to love about this little strip of India. My only gripe is that it doesn't extend further. Just a must go to if you wanna experience the flair that India brings to KL.
It's lively place. Sound n smell, people n food.it's just fabulous.
If one is looking for anything Indian, this is the place to go.
Parking is difficult. So just take a grab.
The Indian restaurants are really good.
Not a good place for Indian tourist to do shopping as the prices are very high wen compared to india
Little India is a street full of Indian shops, music and markets. I love how it brings contrast to the city, but truth is, there’s not a looot to do here. Still a good stop to make:)
Lots of restaurant.if you look for the cheap one is located near jalan sultan abdul samad, mamak restaurant with yellow fence.
Shopping street for Indian fabrics, clothes, accessories and even Indian foods. Easy to reach by take mrt stop at KL Central station and then walk a few minutes.
In Brickfields, rows of shops selling products from India and local products as well namely Clothing, Jewelries, Costume Jewelries, Prayer items, Fresh Vegetables, Household items, Groceries, Indian Cuisine Restaurants, Florist etc. Requirement from head to toe is available. Tailor to fortune teller can also be found. The place is vibrant with activity throughout the day and during festivities, the place is full of colour with stalls sprouting on the five foot path.
I love this area, yummy indian food.cheap and super fresh vegetables, spices available at the store
Extremely unkempt and dirty. Stark distinction between the rest of Kuala Lumpur and this place. You could sense the difference in the whole environment itself. The rest of the City is so beautifully well maintained, sharp, clean, and fresh. One would not hesitate or think twice before sitting or standing anywhere or enjoy the ambiance, but out here, one has to look and be careful where to stand, relax, and what to touch. Blaring loud music, loud conversation, rude, arrogant attitude of the people are among a few examples.
Very crowded without any proper traffic management. Shoppers are not very concerned about road users and everyone seems to be wanting to park at the side of the road.
