Satu Penchala Kopitiam reviews
24 Economy rice is very expensive and tastes average
When I started eating, I ordered a drink.
No drinks came when we finished our meal.
Very affordable food and drinks. Customers are from factores nearby. Close at around 4 pm. Not open on sunday.
The roti canai there is really delicious.with their kari and everything is perfect and their lunch meals are also out of ordinary.the drinks there quite expensive and it's not worth the money.the pan mee is one of the popular food in that restaurant
Wan tan mee and hakka mee were very decent. Drinks are great. Kurang manis really isn't sweet. Love it.
Typical food court kopitiam style, with more than 10 hawkers selling all sorts of local food. There's prawn mee, mix rice, wan tan mee, malay nasi lemak, Indian food, small fry, fried koay teow and more available here.
When this place started more than 15 years ago, I've already come here to eat, and over the years, One Penchala has become more popular. Mainly because it is easy to find parking and the food here is mostly not bad. Plus, there are a lot more choices around this area. Here, the prawn mee and the chap fan is quite popular.
A small Chinese foodcourt type restaurant. Lots of different small stalls inside this place.
Food/Drink: Came here for lunch and had the Chinese mixed rice. Quite a good selection of dishes which includes meat, fish, vegetables and more. They also give free soup. All was quite good.
Ambience/Location: Very little ambience. A place to just quickly eat and go. Located in a very tight area. Parking is very limited and can be difficult at times.
Service: Drinks ordering service is quite fast and staff is helpful.
Price: Price is acceptable.
Recommendation: Try the many stalls which sells different types of noodles.
When to visit: Possibly avoid lunch hour, very packed. Come just before or after lunch.
Could be crowded during lunch time. Don't serve anything at night. Serves one of the best teh peng. Variety of food to choose from.
Slightly diluted Prawn Mee
Overpriced chicken rice
Good Nasi Lemak Ayam Goreng Berempah
We arrived at about 2.30pm.a rather large restaurant with many tables and chairs. Very sweet lady frying Char Kuey Teow. It was nice, had a couple of both shrimp and sufficient cockleshells. The dishes at the mixed rice stall was almost finished but we did manage to get something to eat there too.
Visited Jun 2022 for late lunch
Premises quite clean, tables fairly neatly arranged.
Food and drinks served quite fast.
The pork noodles were good. Hor Fun was smooth. Portion quite generous
Curry Wan Tan mee, CKT were also good.
Roadside car park but be careful of lorries if parked illegally
Nasi ayam.second stall, closest to Jalan Penchala. Been there for more than a decade.maybe two.
So far, they have the best to my liking. The chilli sauce tops any others serving the same dish.
They have large 'followers'
Place is a bit run down needs improvements. Business very good during breakfast, lunch, dinner. Food's good, delicious n affordable 4 dine in, takeaways. No deliveries like Grab, Food Panda, LaLamove services
Has one of the best hand made pan mee in town. The fried chicken was no longer nice. However you may not like the cleanliness of this food court.
Very good teh ping. Variety of good tasty hawker food. Specialty spicy roast chicken nasi lemak.
I don't agree with many previous reviewers on the pan mee here. Pulled version might be ok in texture but in general the soup is average and has too much MSG.
Wantan mee here has an old school flavor though not always consistent. Some times too salty. The noodles is al dente. Nice pickled chili. Owner has another stall at New Beauty Kopitiam not far away.
Economy rice has large variety though i preferred the previous operator many many years ago.
Nasi Lemak Ayam Rempah is pretty good but again, its a new operator. Anyone know where the original operator moved to?
Other food choices just ok. Not the cleanest of kopitiams. Pipes (or maybe the water tanks) at wash area are extremely old and rusty. Don't gargle unless you love the taste of rust.
THE CHICKEN NOODLE N RICE STALL. BAD BAD BIZ ETHIC! OWNER CANT EVEN DECICE IF THEY WANT TO TAKE ORDERS FROM YOUR TABLE OR U GO MAKE YOUR ORDER WITH THEM. WHEN U GO N MAKE ORDER, THEY TELL YOU TO SIT N WHEN YOU DO, YOU SEE THE PEOPLE WHO COME AFTER YOU BEING SERVE FOOD. WHEN YOU QUESTION THEM, THEY SAY YOU WAIT FOR YOUR TURN. OF COS ITS ADIOS N TO THE 'BAN SHOP LIST'. NEVER WILL I GO THERE N I WILL SHARE THE BAD NEWS WITH ALL.
️️️ Most disgusting noodles ever. NEVER EVER TRY THE WONTON NOODLES unless you want an upset stomach! The after taste of the char siew n noodles is unbearable.
Quite hidden location that only regular & locals would know of. The fried chicken "Den Fried Chicken" we had is really good. Waited and queued for 10 minutes and totally worth the wait as they only serve hot and freshly fried chicken. Rice goes really well with the gravy/curry. Price reasonable. Overall this is my top 3 food to have at here, definitely must try!
Hidden gems can say almost end of the road sit here a corner lot converted kopitiam from bungalow lot. Various of Chinese foodie to choose from usually pack during lunch hour & sorry non halal.for halal foodie for can proceed to next shop which is just across road for Muslim food.
I like the pan mee and chicken rice stalls in this kopitiam. The pan mee comes with a great tasting sambal while the chicken rice stall serves up great roast pork.
Lunch time is always busy but trick is to be there no later than 12pm and you can avoid much of the crowd.
An old bangalow converted into a kopitiam. Have many stalls, therefore have wide selection of hawker food. However the place now a bit runned down and workers don't clear the table or slow in clearing the table when guests have finished and left.
