PAWS Animal Welfare Society reviews
67I had a fantastic experience volunteering at PAWS animal shelter. The opportunity to walk and bathe dogs was enjoyable, and it was evident that the staff takes excellent care of the puppies. Overall, a rewarding and positive environment for volunteering.
You can volunteer here everyday 10am to 12pm. Also there is a charge for give away and also a fee for adopting, but overall i like the idea of the whole thing, it teaches me to be responsible with the things i consider important.
A place for animals' shelter. I sent my cats here too. I am unwell, so I hv to send my beloved pets here.
I adopted my baby girl from here 9 years ago. She's an old dog now but she'll always be my baby. I've since come here to volunteer once. The workers really care for the animals but the enclosures are too small and the dogs fight and injure themselves a lot. Despite that tho; almost all the dogs i interacted with were very friendly and sweet and have been socialized well.
The smell can be quite overwhelming but this is more a case of the enclosures being too small rather than neglect because the workers hose down the place pretty often. I hope more people will help the shelter by donating funds and volunteering. Our creatures deserve better.
Discovering PAWS was a heartwarming experience that rekindled my belief in compassion and care. This shelter radiates dedication towards every furry friend under its roof. The staff tirelessly go above and beyond to provide a loving environment and medical attention, fostering a second chance at life for these wonderful creatures.
Every visit to the shelter unveils stories of resilience and hope, as tails wag and purrs fill the air. Your support can make a transformative difference – not just in the lives of these animals, but also in your own. Consider adopting a loyal companion or contributing to this haven of love. Your donation could mean a warm bed, a wagging tail, and an unbreakable bond. Together, let's give these animals the forever homes they deserve.
Anyone who wants to save a life of our little friends can contact them, they have all the facilities and capabilities, the pets will be taken care of for a price
I had sent 2 cats to PAWS. My 1st and 2nd experience were different. 1st experience- as it was a very hot afternoon, while I was in PAWS, I found it very hot and humid. Perhaps due to this, impact my observation and mood in that area. 2nd experience was good- the receiving staff and workers around are engaged. Upon surrender animals, I signed acknowledgement form. In that form, I noticed there is a mention of possible 'put to sleep'. After filling all information, receipt will be issued.
Disappointed with the quality of staff, rude with no conversation whatsover. Just asked for donation and that was it. The premises wasn't clean, I felt heavy hearted leaving a stray I had just rescued at this PAWS. Please I hope the management takes this review and improves greatly on their service. Animals deserve to be treated well, too, especially strays just off the street.
May God bless their souls for providing homes to homeless animals! They are the place I always go to after saving stray animals! They are the best!
Hi good day i would like to surrender my cats there is too many i couldn't take care some more i am relocating i couldn't bring them all together mostly cats do you still accept
The work they do at the shelter - taking in abandoned dogs and cats, caring for them and helping with education and outreach to the community, makes the world a better place not only for dogs and cats but people too.
I had sent 4 stray cats at my backyard to PAWS. The shelter has clean environment. The surrender fees charged was reasonable. Well done and TQ PAWS for accepting the stray cats.
Very disappointing! Had made an appointment with them to volunteer but upon arrival, I was told by the staff that the whole day was fully booked and would not further accept any volunteer despite our explanation, which is ridiculous af because of the poor communication between the admin and the staff. At last, the admin apologised for not being aware of this situation.
The pets get noisy when new people arrive. Once they calm down, it's pretty relaxing. If you are interested in a certain dog, you can request to play with them or even give them a little walk. Keep in mind, every time they go in to get a dog with the leash, it will also be noisy. Wear mosquito repellent before coming, highly recommended.
Staff and volunteers walking pets. People who complain can hardly understand the peeps work on like budget and lots of job.
Very unfriendly reception. Asked questions but not being answered at all despite face to face, as if I did not exist in front. However, ground staffs who looked like foreigner are quite friendly. This is my very fist step stepping inside a shelter to handover a rescued cat. I feel that the place (new location) for cats are not satisfactory to me, from my own personal feeling (but I can't compare as I never been to others). Some how, I also have an unexplainable feeling that the shelter 'runs like busines'. Anyway, hope they take care of my rescued cat.
As always, it was a great visit. It was really good to see the dogs kept in good and clean spaces.
Called them up to see if they had any availability to drop off an adult cat. Lady was super rude, despite the simple question. Was even considering to donate to them but not anymore after hearing how rude that woman is. How can you expect more donations from people and yet hang up on me as soon as you answered my question.
Not to mention your rude “Bye” and immediately ending the call.
I really was considering to donate to PAWS… What a mess. Fix your service for god’s sake.
Horrible HORRIBLE place. Went to adopt a cat there, the staff were unhelpful and the cats have horrible living conditions. I adopted a cat which I believed to be healthy as that's what they told me. Now I have to rush her to the vet this morning because she's been coughing and sneezing non stop. Never, and I mean NEVER adopt from this sorry excuse of an adoption center.
Absolutely disgusted by the attitude of the staff who asked me to just leave the dog i daved by the road side to die.wow shocking and just because its after opening hours.regretting all the times i volunteered and did a donation drive for the center when i was in college. Disgusting
