Medan Selera Jaya 223 reviews
92Variety of food here. Best! The best dimsum, the best satay, the best hot dishes. It's just that the ambient is a bit noisy. It's normal for the terrain to taste right. But for variety of food, win! Nasi lemak red cop, top! And 1 more, otak otak kuning. It's also the best!
Food is a bit overpriced and tasted average. The vendors swamped you even before you took a seat to order. The plus point is that there are many choices but personally for me, i prefer quality over quantity.
My fam and I always come here for our kerang (cockles) and tauhu bakar (roasted beancurd) fix. The kerang bakar at kedai Ainol is superb. Really large cockles and we've never been dissapointed so far. Next to it is the otak-otak bakar station and the otak-otak is pretty good. My father and brother always go for the nasi lemak with fried chicken
Gerai nasi lemak Yatie / Pak Cu 916 (Red Banner), getting expensive wt small portion and very less variety. On honest review still acceptable except one lady, was the most rude gerai kecik seller. " tak mesra langsung " when speak to customers, add sambal also lazy (muka sial masam setiap kali, ade la.kat gambar tu), not wearing mask, hair not cover and food not cover too (some fly around) on the bucket of ayam Goreng.totally not hygiene. The next nasi lemak store (Green Sign board wt Nasi lemak in yellow Jawi words) which is the first corner also " Cekik Darah " with sepinggan nasi lemak biasa with a little bit of kerang can cost you RM8.00 (Luckily no SST/GST). Also, overall the Sup Kambing in the middle row store (Pink signboard) is nice at RM9.00 per bowl wt fair portion of meats along their masakan goreng2. Then Satay only available in one store wt the owner Pakcik & Nenek is abit overpriced secucuk but kuah taste still OK lah. * My review is base on 3 times per week at the same Medan Selera 223 visit.
One of the best Nasi Lemak bungkus in town ut the queue can be long during peak hours. The best time for dinner is at 6.30 while there's still plenty of parking and the fresh batch of Nasi Lemak and Ayam Goreng is ready
I only come here for the Laksa Penang. Nasi lemak punya kualiti sudah OUT. And I don't like the super aggressive waiters who keep on insisting on their Sup Kambing, Ayam etc.
Updated in 2022:
The aggressive waiters from Bangladesh and India no longer to be seen due to the strict rules by MBSJ which don't allow the hawkers to hire foreigners as a staff.
The nasi lemak here is worth a visit. However if you are concerned about Covid-19 SOPs, then don’t bother visiting. No social distancing, patrons walking around without mask etc.
Nasi Lemak in town sedap and murah Selalu crowded lh tempat ni, tak tahan panas tak yah sibuk dtg
Suri nasi lemak is the best. Samble was excellent. It was spicy. This is something I'm looking for a long time. And I found it here. The samble exploded in my mouth. Sedap. The rice was fragrance. Very good dish. Very Malaysian.
Crowded at peak times can be stuffy.
Old skool shop at front area. Hipster shop at back
Nasi lemak panas daun pisang & sup kambing power sentiasa menjadi pilihan. Malam mmg crowded. Otak otak kena pandai pilih, ada 2 penjual. Kalau siang hari, ada jual nasi ayam penyet sedap.
My fav is nasi lemak. Need to line up to get nasi lemam (almost 30 minutes) the 'sambal' just nice. Crowded place here. Many choice of food
The Nasi lemak is spicy! However, not enough "lemak". The fried chicken is good too.
Well well well…this place requires no instructions.is a place for you to get packet nasi lemak.just take note one of the nasi lemak have much spicer sakhalin vs the other.both are awesome in their own way.
My throat still feels sore to swallow food and drinks from the stalls in this place.
Mineral water is fine.
Now my hopes the situation has changed, but I'm still amused and still imagining.
Because a few years ago he was assigned to take the fingerprints of employees who worked as cooks, cleaners and so on.
Their fingers are awful.sad, why do I feel like I'm going to have diarrhea.
It's up to you.
The hand that feeds into your mouth takes care of your own stomach.
Varieties are abundant.
My thoughts.
Improve your taste and cleanliness. After which increase your price
My favorite here is the Nasi Lemak and Soup Kambing. That was amazing! There will be a long queue for nasi lemak but I should say it's worth it because the taste is amazing. For Soup Kambing the price is Rm10 for nasi leak is around Rm10 or something. You should try their nasi lemak.
Aaa havent been to this place since covid started! Miss the food here i see most stalls close around 12-12.30am. Wish they close late like before pandemic.
Nasi lemak Yatie - nasi lemak + ayam is rm5.50. It was ok, sambal was good and spicy+sweet. But the rice kurang berlemak. Tutup tepat 12am
Sup kambing (mangkuk pink) - rm10. Portion kecil sikit but sedappp sangat! Pekat, berlemak and cukup rasa.
Kedai minum teh tarik (1st stall) - teh tarik ok je
Nasi lemak seller is arrogant and rude. Otak² is not for diabetics, price of kerang bakar will burn your wallet.
Best lots of food, sup kambing mangkuk pink very nice, nasi lemak bungkus sedap sangat, comfy area but crowded even on weekdays.
