Heng Kee Bak Kut Teh reviews
61As a PJ-rian this is my best time eating, thought it would taste bad and overpriced but definitely the opposite.good
Good meat but watery soup which altogether a letdown. Plus, very expensive too considering the portion they served.
Long time didn't come here for Bak Kut Teh.happy to say. It still taste good as before
A quick place to get your bak kut teh in PJ, Will tapao here when my parents want to get something quick after amcorp mall in weekends.
The restaurant is clean, bright and refreshing.
The bak kut teh is very tasty, the soup is salty and sweet, but there is no medicinal taste. I recommend his bean curd, and the pork ribs are cooked just right.
It is 5pm and still very empty. The place is clean. The food is very good and not expensive. Obviously will come back.
We ordered pork ribs, stomach, intestine, trotter, tendon, liver, fritter and taufupok. All are good.
This place has been here for decades. Different style of BKT comparing to the claypot style. Try their braised mushrooms. Soft and tasty.
As a person who lived in Sabah for a long time, the quality and texture of the meat was ASTOUNDING! For example, the pig tongue we usually eat is dry-ish and has this sandy feeling. However, the pig tongue at this restaurant was actually chewy and there was no hint of dryness at all! I ordered more types of meat, and I can happily mention that they're all great. For the restaurant branch that I visited, they charge for another bowl of soup.
The serving style is different from Klang, but i still like it. The order takes quite sometime even though keep calling them.
Best place for bak kut teh (not the one pot klang kind)! Have been going for yearssssss. The taste has never changed and the people are what makes the place even more special. Also - value for money!
Overrated by the crowd/ pj people. Taste is okay. Since they dont serve in claypot, but bowl instead. Soup starts to get cold when you're eating. To add their 'precious' soup, will need an extra charge of RM1.20 - insane!
Many customers with a waiting queue but clear very quickly, like maybe waited 5 minutes only. Quick service reasonable price. Meat tender, tasty food, bright lights.
I like the Bak Kut Teh soup and the pork meat. It was nice but it took a long time to served to my table.
They sell very nice meat but the meat will run out very fast so I suggest that you will need to go there a bit early: p
Popular as usual! Food is very good! However, after all these years, still never improve on the way they serve garlic and chilly padi! Very unhygienic!
Still the best BKT place in PJ. Service has always been quick and efficient and still is, even after so many years! Nothing much has changed, except they no longer refill your soup for free but that’s about it. Def my go to
place for a bowl of heart-warming bak kut teh.
Tasty and good! Hits the spot if you have a craving. The mushroom stew was fantastic, and of course the BKT broth. You will need to pay for refill of soups, but it is worth it.
With the wired fencing surrounding this BKT Stall, you get to enjoy in a “secured” zone on this Old Town of PJ. Soup is really nice, different from Singapore & Johore. Soup base is sweet plus a little bit of saltiness which elevated the richness of my serving of BKT! Only if the pork liver is not so overly cooked.
Been coming to this place since I can remember.it's one of the top 10 bak kut teh places in Malaysia. The food is really delicious and price is wonderful. I'll bring my friends visiting this place any day.
If you are not sure which parts to order you can always ask for a 'mix' aka cham cham for a porkylicius bowl of pork+innards. Don't forget to order some fried tofu and enoki mushrooms or if you're into some delicious thick gravy order the shiitake mushrooms. The herb and spices in the soup makes all the dishes come with it's own unique flavours, be sure to try each of the soups individually.
Only downside is you just need a bit of patience when it comes to requesting for anything after you finished ordering, pretty much everything is self service after that.
