Church of the Divine Mercy (CDM) reviews
31 The Church of Divine Mercy in Shah Alam is truly a spiritual haven. From the moment you step inside, there's a sense of peace and tranquility that envelops you. The architecture is stunning, with its intricate design and serene atmosphere making it a perfect place for worship and reflection.
The services and Masses are deeply moving, led by dedicated clergy who convey a profound sense of faith and devotion. The music and choir performances elevate the spiritual experience, adding to the solemnity and beauty of the ceremonies.
Additionally, the church's commitment to outreach and charity work is commendable. Their efforts to help the less fortunate and contribute to the well-being of society reflect the teachings of compassion and love.
Overall, the Church of Divine Mercy in Shah Alam is a place of solace and devotion, where faith is nurtured, and the community comes together in love and fellowship. It's a beautiful spiritual destination that leaves a lasting impression on the hearts of its visitors.
A large beautiful iconic church that symbolised the faith, the resilence and the unity of the Shah Alam Catholic community in time of adversity. Come and experience the presence of God in the calmness and serenity of the church. Join in the praise of God to the beautiful voices of the choir. Although it has a large congregation, parking is not a challenge. Praise the Lord.
Lovely ambience great place to pray and worship. Choir is great and the priest is lively and vibrant
One of the few Catholic churches in the region that is a repository for relics from a saint (Saint Faustina) which is held in display as this church is among the few worldwide to bear the name of The Divine Mercy in the honour of the merit of Christ's infinite mercy to the people and parishioners of this parish.
First time visitors are advised to check on the parish webpages on the mass and service schedules. Weekends are inevitably crowded especially when the Sunday School term is ongoing and the Sunday noon mass is celebrated in Bahasa Malaysia. The current post pandemic masses require parishioners to pre-register online for seats according to the masses being celebrated.
Catholic Church in Shah Alam. I love that they have mass in BM and many Borneo people there. Feels like home. Parking along side road near the church. Road is not that busy.
A better way to connect with God and receive his messages through the readings on weekly basis. Last Sunday 17th April was Happy Eater for Christ has Risen.
The Church of the divine mercy is a very important Catholic church in Shah Alam for the catholics living there.
The exterior of the church is not grand in appearance. The interior design is however more reverent. The church is spacious and nicely decorated / laid out.
The church has recently started lifting its social distancing rules and now up to five people are allowed to fill up a single bench. However people are still advised to stay a metre from one another.
The ministers of hospitality were not rude or intrusive however they did not look approachable.
The Altar was wider than most churches. Above it is a very wide ledge where the priest venerates the cross.
The church is located in an almost desolate area. There are no cafes or restaurants surrounding the church and literally no public transport. That's so sad.
Beautiful church. A place of prayer and worship and deep meditation. Come to experience the presence of God
Quiet place to pray and clean environment. Nice place for a quiet time with the lord Jesus Christ. Amen
Catholic church located in Industrial area in Glenmarie. Due to Covid masses are online mostly. Currently have Sun 1030Am at church. Please book online to register and follow the SOP provided. Preparation being set now to open for additional mass times. Will be notified soon
Came here after MCO. Following strict SOPVery Recommended. Lets go here every weekend for mass, our dear Catholic friends.
Loved it. Spacious. Hospitality ministers were very helpful and accommodating. Traffic wardens were exceptionally courteous and well coordinated with their team members. Overall attending Masses now (during CMCO) have been a wonderful experience. 2
Communion service available, for the elderly and those who are unable to attend church service, on selected public holidays.
A jewel in the crown. Possibly the biggest Catholic church in the mist of an early light industrial zone in Glenmarie, Shah Alam. We came here to attend a funeral mass of an old schoolmate. The place is serene and divine with the decor and design of a traditional with a slight contemporary touches. There is a balcony and upper section. The message and prayers led by a priest and graceful music play and hymns sang during the service were both touching and soul-searching. Indeed, we all felt spiritual blessed and strongly believed that the departed soul had truely rest in peace.
Very beautiful church, very ample and spacious with upstairs and can sit about 1000 people. Ample parking and underground parking facilities. Parking are guarded.
Their choir and the musical group is one of the highlights of the church. Feel very joyful whenever I visit the church
Beautiful church! Very peaceful environment.but the only problem is the arrogant and rude ppl working in the office!
Specifically a person named Pat.
Acts like she owns the place, won't even look u in the eyes when u say thank you. Is this kind of arrogance needed in church?
The Parish priest is firm but with a strong sense of guidance. Masses here feel special & holy with reverence.not some modern day church with "loud music and rush rush let's get it over with type of masses"
Sole Catholic church for the city of Shah Alam. The parish also has numerous outreach programs for non-local students from nearby Institutions of higher learning and runs relief work for the indigenous orang asli.
The first time I attended the mass at CDM in Shah Alam last week on Assumption day of obligation. I was not sure weather to attend or not but God made me to go to CDM. I normally attend mass at Sacred heart Church and Our lady of Good health in Kampung Pandan Kuala Lumpur
