21Cold place and chilled here, drink not really cheap and taste soso, but the good view is enough
Hiking up here is a bit of a hassle and you can't really see the sunset from a nice location unless you pay a lot of money. However, if you do go, go behind the Hindu temple for the best free view.
Quiet weekday getaway with chilled breeze and amazing view. We had a buggy ride up the track that cost RM30 and visited the temple and mosque. Most cafe was closed by 7pm so we had to leave early leaving the breathtaking night view behind.
Don't go there on weekends. I had to stand in a cue for half an our for the ticket and when I got it, I had to wait another hour till I could get up. Same thing the way down. Again 45 min till I got into the train.
Penang Hill is truly the precious gem of the island. Standing approximately 755 m from sea level at the top station of the funnicular railway n 855m at its highest point elsewhere, one enjoys a panoramic view of the island from Batu Feringhi in the north to the Penang Bridge to the east of the island. Tends to be crowded on public holidays n school holidays. Personally, I walk up to the top n frequently take the train down. There are many well kept n well marked trails leading to the peak so don't restrict yourself to the train. Early morning up the hill is wonderful as the morning mist sits low n the coolness of the morning air makes the place feel like a cool temperate country. Quietness permeates the air until the horde of tourists disembarks from the train. Evening time allows one to enjoy the sparkling jewels of the city lights down below.
Place to seeing the panorama of Georgetown City and hills serounding that area. Bukit Bendera @Penang Hill must visit to tourist came to Penang Island. Enjoy you day here!
Great eyes view. This experience will let u forget all nonsence and release stress from work especially hectic life with total jam free. Hehehe.
Nothing much to see up here as everything have separate entrance fee. The only thing u can see for free is old Cannon and if there is any public shows. Other than all are common things such as 5D cinema, photo with animals, buggy ride, monkey park, street artist and cozy bar and restaurant.
It was just newly built a few years ago and certainly penang hill a even more attractive place to visit. Nice night view from the top although it could be a bit cooling there. Also could enjoy some view of building on the top of hill. Spent about 1.5 hours on the top of hill and came down after enjoy twilight view. Like they said its must come.
It offers you another option to enjoy the city skyline. Definitely a must for tourists to visit. This is where you can fly your drone for an aerial footage of the city or an action camera for a wide angle view panorama.
Brilliant views over Penang, really enjoyed it up there. Very touristy - which is something we’ve tended to avoid when visiting Penang because we have family there and so focus on enjoying the real Penang with them - but still worth a trip.
If you miss a hill train, you'd have to queue for at least another 30 minutes, sometimes even an hour or more.
Train is usually packed to the brim but luckily, the journey uphill takes only 10 minutes. The view of Penang from the top is spectacular, more so at night, when the island is all lit up.
Has the portable air cooler at waiting area beforre buying tickets.
Would reccomend buying the fast lane tickets if you don't mind paying 4x more. If not, you'd have to wait thru the long queue before boarding the cable cars. Mind you, queueing for going down the hill is even longer! But if reach here early (before 7 am), you might not be bothered to buy the fast lane.
Tips: get the front most coach during ascending up the hill for the best view and the bottom most coach during descending.
On top of Bukit Bendera, you will find a lot of interesting things to do but mostly enjoying the scenes.
Awesome view. Worth the time here. But, as usual during peak season, so many people come and have of your time is spending on waiting and queueing. If possible avoid visiting during school holidays
Beautiful scene at hilltop but long queue for 3 section before can see the railway. If time is money get express line which price is x4. Don't go during peak season or weekend.
Good place to visit while you are travelling in Penang/ Malaysia
Nice experience with up and down cable train.
Nice views from the top.
Can have food from top.
There are two carriers, 10 minutes between departures with a travel time of 5 minutes in each direction. Expect to que up for 20 minutes on normal days and much longer during peak season. The trains only stop at the lower stations for residents and workers. If only we could just pay RM 5 and immediately que up for the train instead of queuing to purchase tickets first then once more for the train.
Great place for local and international visitors. Can see the view of Penang Island on a clear day
Short waiting time up to Penang Hill. The ride experience and view is totally worth the entry ticket cost. A must see when you are in Penang
The lower station is where you buy the ticket and go up the hill using the train, The return ticket cost RM30
