Sky Walk / Penang Hill reviews
65Takdak apa sgt pun ataihh nii.selama ni dah banyak kali p blah siang, ni saja p blah malam.hrp siang la meriah sikit.tapi, siang ka, malam ka, bg sy biasa jaa.
Beautiful views during the day and in the evening. The food options are very limited for a vegetarian.
There’s 2 lanes: went for the normal lane and well waiting time: 15 mins to go up.
View wise: beautiful!
Going down: 45 mins, abit slow.
Recommended to go weekdays n early so that its not that hot. Arrange the transport using jeep service. Its a 5km walk uphill.
Definitely worth a visit when in Penang, amazing views of Georgetown and across the water to Butterworth
The only attraction i think is the train itself.up there nothing.the view also just so so.the other thing all need fee entrance and not worth it
Good experience to try for the cable train, nice view and can be close to nature, The habitat can spend money to walk in
Went with sunrise price. Less hectic, less crowd. Went there in jun 23, but there is alot of renovation up there. Nothing much to do, unless you love to appreciate the scenery - this is worth to visit
I will never be here on public holiday ever again! It took me 2 hrs of queuing to go up, and around 40 mins to go back down.
Luckily the waiting area at the bottom is complete with air conditioners n fans (except at the front gate), making the queue much more bearable.
To summarize:
Scenery - 8/10
Attractions - 7/10
Parking - quite a lot
Cleanliness - 9/10
Manggo shaved ice (kak noor cafe) - 8.5/10
Omg, it is a must go place at penang
But the waiting time is unacceptable
Strong recommendation, do go early at 8am and go up the hill early without queuing
Awesome view a from the top, plenty of guides to answer any questions. Check out the habitat.
I had only 1 hour to spend on the hill so I split from my group to look for a good place to spend some quality time. Thank God I found the Gate House of Bel Retiro. Bel Retiro is the oldest government bungalow on the hill. The gate house is open to the public. From the outside it looks well preserved and maintained. One could get into the house. It's not very popular, which is a good thing because it's not crowded. Explore the rooms. It looks deceptively empty but you will be rewarded with a beautiful arial view of Penang, even the Penang bridge.
When i visited on December, this place is very crowded. The que is too long. But the place is quite good.
Good views of the whole Penang, and also it’s quite cool up here. The only thing lacking is decent food options and the worst is probably the tram queues. On a weekend which we came the tram queue is pretty extreme
We got the fast ticket but even so it was a 15 min wait, can’t imagine coming with the regular ticket probably a few hours! ’
There’s an alternative route which is to hike but it’s too hot for this… unless you can start at 7am
Awful tourist trap.
We visited in 2019 when it was a gorgeous quiet skywalk with a cute funicular, and loved it. Brought my family back to experience it and regretted every second.
They’ve filled the top with noisy junk, like toy museums and earthquake experiences. Organization is horrible and tickets are so overpriced.
They CRAM you into the funicular so it’s no longer an enjoyable experience. On our return journey, they packed us into the first compartment and shut the doors while waiting for the other compartments to fill.
On the hilltop, there are 2 CUBICLES for the thousands of women and children who may need to use a bathroom. There is no soap or tissue and the bathroom is wet. The bathrooms are also down several flights of stairs.
Avoid at all costs.
One of the popular tourist attractions in Penang. Amazing views and the air is so cooling and fresh. It was very crowded during when holiday time. There is a food court up there and also a buggy service for visitors to tour the hill area for a fee.
This place is a bit boring.the peak tram is fair but there's really nothing on the peak. It just takes 10 mins to finish traveling the whole spot. But it also takes 30 mins to get to the lower station entrance from city center. The transportation is not convenient as well (one bus route to get there only, 204 fyi). There are many mosquitoes, do remember to bring your mosquito repellent. The bathroom floor is slippery! Super smelly as well! Not recommended.
Due to construction work at upper hill station, access to sky walk is denied. The construction will take about 18 months.
Memang best lahhhh.view cantik je angin kuat, memang sesuai lah kalau nak bergambar.sumpah best.masa datang tu happy sangat sebab baru first datang pulau pinang.excited dia lain macammm
The first i came, so crowded in entrance.i must queue and go up with train.after i arrived, i can see all penang city and of course its so bright and hot.i only walk around the hill (near from train station) bcause if you want to explore the penang hill, you must pay more to get the tour transportation.im forget about it! Next time i think.
