Penang Hill Lower Station reviews
29 We rocked up close to 10am on a Wednesday. We purchased normal non expedite tickets. The ticket line was non existent and it was a short wait roughly ten minutes to catch a tram up as we were close to the front of the queue. When travelling back, we had to wait longer possibly fifteen minutes. We were in the middle of the queue. We were lucky in wait times.
You'll need mosquito repellent and sun protection.
Sangat sedih waktu menunggu sangat lama, tiada laluan warga emas, ibu mengandung, harap pihak pengurusan dapat berbuat sesuatu. Pikirkan kaedah terbaek. Bukan semata keuntungan. Kecewa
Need to book tickets 1 day ahead to avoid jam. Good management with batches. Ticketing is fast even the queue is long. Arrive 930am, ticketing 10am, wait 30 mins in lounge. Train cycle time is 5.5 minutes.
The express lane for tickets is closed. Normal lane for tickets is at least 180 minutes wait, according to 3 different staff manning the queue. #TrulyAsia
It would be faster to trek up. So if you have old folks or young children who need the ride, do NOT come here.
This place is great with multiple facilities to cater peoples need while waiting for turn to ride a funicular to the hill top. Restaurant, shops, musolla, and toilets available here. The ticket counter is here but the staff will only allow one person from each family or group to queue for the tickets. If you're Malaysian show you're identity card for discount.
I thoroughly enjoyed the ride up to the top rof the mountain and the view on top. The return trip down on the funicular was equally enjoyable.it’s a pity it was a little bit more expensive than I thought but still a definite must see tourist attraction
This place has gone through so many changes over the past decades. The biggest transformation happens during the Pakatan government where a new multi story car park was added and the whole station enlarged and upgraded to it's existing look. Well done.
Beautiful place. Would like to visit this place again. The view was amazing. We took train to go up there. Next time I wanna try to hike up. Also the staffs were nice to us.
