We went once for dinner and the food was cold and pathetic portion. Especially the chicken masala. About 2-3 tiny pieces of chicken. Not sure if that’s all they had from the long day but if you don’t have enough, please don’t serve the dish. So sad we had to pay so much for such slow and bad service.

Food was very flavourful, not too salty. We especially liked the sambal fried fish and the fried chicken. Very well done and the chicken meat was still moist inside. The fried bitter gourd was another pleasant surprise. Just lightly fried to perfection. That was my favourite dish. Parking was quite easily available behind the restaurant in a private car park. The only drawback being that this was a one-man show and waiting time could be long if the restaurant gets busy. Owner informed us that he will be trying to get additional help asap. Anyway, I will definitely be going back again.

The food yes tasty with low sodium. Its good for health.no any adding preservatives. But i tell u all one scenario happened during i was there. We 3 friends very hungry n went there. There was an old couple but no so la then 1 boy around 10 yrs+. They both were asking us to wait about 5 times. After about 20minutes. They put for us banana leaf n went loss again into kitchen.after 10minutes again come with 3 vege and saying alot people ordering via foodpanda then loss again. Ok fine at last we get the food.
The funny thing was the we 3 friend + chinese couple was the customer about 5people n aunty, uncle and the boy as the staff. They went into kitchen everytyme n taking long time to serve customer. Serve once then whole family when into kitchen. + Fighting inside kitchen fr cooking lol. They love to say sorry more than serving food. So i think change the mess name to "SORRY SPICES". THANK YOU

Simple healthy fresh delicious meals served in banana leaf.

Sambal tofu & the gourd curry were out of the world.
Had a long chat with their little helper (Owner’s son) Jeysh Raj May god bless him he is a fantastic knowledgeable kid same the food they serve. The ambience made be feel like I am at my grandma’s place.

Nothing to improve family owned restaurant. Keep up the good work.

Very home cook version of banana leaf meals. Lower sodium, lower fat, not too spicy very healthy kind of food. This photo is the basic vegetarian set RM 8.00 with dal curry. We ordered the chicken curry set RM 12.00 and mutton curry set RM 16.00. Mango lassi RM 6.00 is yummy too. Will visit to try out different types of curry next time.

The vege banana leaf set only had cold sambar and rasam, at 1pm. They charged 50cent extra for parboil rice. I've never known a restaurant to charge extra for choosing parboil rice, instead of the normal rice.this price was only informed during payment. One piece appalam is 50cent.chicken curry was cold, they warmed it at my request.chicken sambal and chixken65 was ok.

They serve southern indian mix kerala style food. Very great taste with reasonable price. The owner is very nice and friendly to talk to. The place is easy to find and there is a big carpark (RM3 per entry) just beside the shop

So happy that this quaint restaurant is still there after all these years. Food Quality is superbly delicious and flavorful. Service is also still top-notch with friendly staff taking orders and delivering them to point. The follow-up is also well appreciated. Keep up the excellent job. Will definitely be back everytime I'm in Penang.
